The purpose of the ecosystem fund is to capitalize projects which generate net new value for Sifchain with the intent that some of these projects will become independent operating entities.
Sifchain will develop a program which allows the protocol to launch, nurture and accelerate development of new businesses on Sifchain. The program should expose participants to opportunities to obtain funding and build sustainable businesses. From a technical implementation standpoint an independent operating layer such as a smart contract module would need to be implemented on chain such to allow multiple independent modalities of development.
An ecosystem seed funding programs furthers the interests of decentralization for Sifchain and for Cosmos on the whole. By encouraging outside developers to bring their passion projects to Sifchain, creates further drive demand for ROWAN and generate transaction volume by a factor of the number of profitable projects exiting the program.
We envision hundreds of vertically integrated businesses providing everything from payments to payroll, all aimed at disrupting their traditional counterparts and we encourage developers, and entrepreneurs alike to bring their passion projects to Sifchain, and help us further value by submitting an application.
