Defining Goals and Purpose
- Governance Workflow
  - Current Discord layout is not intuitive
    - The channels should be organized from top to bottom to reflect the workflow
    - We need a channel that describes the workflow or contains a diagram showing governance workflow from ideation to on chain proposal
    - Do we need Commonwealth? No discussion happens there, it is all in Discord.
    - Channels in Discord should be explicit
      - DAO Announcements > Proposal Outcomes
      - DAO chat > Proposal Discussion
      - Proposal Submission > Proposal Template
    - Here is an example of what the channels could look like in a top down manner.
      - We can add an announcements channel for proposals that have passed/failed
      - Workflow > Describes the flow from ideation to on chain proposal
        
        Can be words or a graphic
      - Submit Ideas > Form for submission of ideas
        
        Low barrier to submission, but enough detail to start a convo
      - New Ideas > Running list of ideas to be up/down voted
        
        All submitted ideas automatically posted here and voted on by users
      - Proposal Template > Ideas that meet minimum threshold can be converted
        
        Template is a google doc that can be copied, details filled out by OP
        
        Proposal goes to the governance council (GC) which filters them
      - Proposal Discussion > Council approved proposals posted here by GC
        
        Thread for each proposal to refine the proposal prior to on chain voting
        
        Once consensus is reached (min 5 days) vote can go on chain
        
        This eliminates the needs for “signaling proposals” and ensures a high success rate for all on chain proposals.
        
        We should do away with direct proposals if possible due to all the spam proposals we have seen lately (instead of simply raising the min. deposit)
- Closer communications with Sifcore
  - Formation of a governance council that is exclusively made up of users from the community — the council will serve as a filter between SifDAO and Sifcore
    - Purpose
      - Sifcore can communicate messaging to the community through the council
      - Council filters ideas and feedback to insulate Sifcore from dealing with emotional investors, to protect the team’s energy and allow them to focus
      - Council will hold team accountable to being transparent with the community in a respectful, rational and non-emotional manner
      - Regular meetings with development team to understand bandwidth and workload, so that we may prioritize the right governance projects
    - Current interested members
      - Stampede, Avicenna, maybe 2 more?
    - Can be a rotating council that is elected every year from the community
      - Eligible users: at least 2 drafted proposals, at least 1 passed governance proposal, active in most governance discussions, (others?)
